GETTING TO AND FROM COSTA RICA

There are two international airports in Costa Rica: Liberia International Airport (LIR) and San Jose International Airport (SJO). Both airports have frequent flights from all over the United States and Canada. Generally Liberia International Airport is the preferred airport for arrival and departure as it is only a 2 hours drive from Blue Spirit Retreat. For convenience, Liberia is much easier and less congested than San Jose International Airport. The drive from San Jose to Blue Spirit takes 5 hours. More details will be provided in the Welcome Packet you receive when you register.

GETTING TO AND FROM BLUE SPIRIT RETREAT

Blue Spirit is situated in Nosara, on the Northern Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. Depending on your chosen arrival airport in Costa Rica, there are different options to travel onwards to Blue Spirit.

From Liberia International Airport (LIR) to Blue Spirit (a 2 hour drive), you can make advanced reservations for the Blue Spirit Shuttle which is $50 one-way, you may reserve your own rental car, or you may take a taxi for approximately $130.

From San Jose International Airport (SJO) to Blue Spirit (a 5 hour drive), you can make advanced reservations for the Blue Spirit Shuttle which costs $80 one-way, you may reserve your own rental car, or you may take a taxi for approximately $230.

You may also take a 40 minute flight to the Nosara Local Airport, which is at a 15-minute drive from Blue Spirit. (It usually requires arriving in San Jose the night before and then taking a morning flight to Nosara to assure making the connection). The taxi ride from Nosara Airport would be approximately $20.
