Why Study Healing Your Heart Coaching Training?
In the United States alone,
- There were almost 1.8 million divorces in 2010.
- Around 50% of all first marriages end in divorce.
- 70% of second marriages which involve step-children fail.
- The population is increasing, yet the number of marriages is decreasing.
Divorce, separation and loss are one of the largest social issues in the world today. They can also be extremely painful and the catalyst for people to want to really look at their lives, so they can move through the pain and create the life and relationships that they desire. Healing Your Heart Coaches have unlimited potential in the market, since there are very few coaches specifically trained to support individuals who are contemplating, in the process of, or post divorce, separation and loss.
This training is open to qualified coaches, mental health professionals, divorce attorneys, mediators, and other professionals whose work includes issues of relationship, separation and/or divorce. It is based upon Debbie Ford’s best-selling book Spiritual Divorce: Divorce As A Catalyst To An Extraordinary Life which has gained national attention on ABC's Ex-Wives Club, Good Morning America, Larry King Live, The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch, and other shows. In the book, she outlined the seven spiritual laws of divorce and revealed how the devastation of loss, separation or divorce can be transformed into a profoundly enlightening experience, the first step toward personal power, joy and the freedom to create the life of your dreams.
The Ford Institute has trained over 100 Healing Your Heart coaches in five countries to utilize our world-renowned and proven life-changing distinctions, practical tools and spiritual principles to guide clients through the inner and outer revolution of healing their hearts, transforming their pain into power, liberating themselves from the past, and creating unimaginable futures.

Program Overview and Schedule
This year-long training program is organized into five distinct modules that are taken in sequential order. You will attend classes over the phone in a global virtual classroom on the newest interactive communication platform. During Module 2, class calls are held on Wednesdays at 11:30 AM Pacific or 5:00 PM Pacific. Starting in Module 3, weekly class calls are scheduled Wednesdays at 11:30 AM Pacific. Attendance is expected but if you miss a call, recordings as well as other resources are available on a private course website. The program includes two profoundly effective in-person training intensives.
Module 1 – The Shadow Process (or equivalent)
Dates: May 18-20 in Copenhagen or August 3-5 at Omega Institute
Tuition: $795
In the evolutionary process delivered at this exclusive in-person retreat, make peace with the whole range of your human emotions. Befriend your grief, your sadness, your loneliness, and your anger. Module 2 – Every Choice Matters
Dates: September 12 - December 12, 2012 (No class meeting on November 21st)
Tuition: $1,750
Optional Intensive: November 7-9, 2012 for an additional $795

Module 3 - Healing Your Heart: The Experience of Being Coached
Dates: January 9 - April 3, 2013
Tuition: $1,750
Experience the benefits of being coached by course instructors and master coaches through the Healing Your Heart Coaching Model in a group setting. Begin to learn, understand and experience firsthand the key distinctions, life-changing tools and transformational results of the Spiritual Divorce coaching model before you start to share and practice it with others.
Module 4 – Healing Your Heart: The Experience of Coaching
Dates: April 17 - July 10, 2013
5-Day In-Person Residential Intensive: Copenhagen April 24-28 or San Diego May 8-12
Tuition: $2,995
Learn the skills, tools, and distinctions of the Healing Your Heart Coaching Model and integrate the learning through the direct experience of coaching fellow students and outside practice clients. Develop the ability to become a clean instrument for the transformational process.
Module 5 – Healing Your Heart Practicum
Dates: July 24 - October 23, 2013
Tuition: $705
Work with practice clients and an assigned reviewer in a self-paced, structured and proven assessment process designed to ensure you are most effectively using the skills and distinctions of the Healing Your Heart Coaching model to deliver extraordinary results to your clients. The successful completion of the Practicum is required to become certified by The Ford Institute as a Healing Your Heart Coach.

Program Registration and Participation
Tuition
The total tuition for the program is $6,995 at a package price or $7,995 a-la-carte (module by module).
To register, you will pay a deposit of $1,000. This deposit holds your place in the program and initiates the admissions process. As part of the admissions process, you will decide how to pay the remainder of your tuition ($5,995). It may be paid in a lump sum payment or on a monthly payment plan.

Admission Criteria and Prerequisites
No prior college coursework is required in order to be admitted into the program. To enter the program, students must have watched The Shadow Effect movie. Students must also 1) have access to the technology required for telephone classes and web-based homework assignments, 2) commit to participation in residential intensives, and 3) agree to adhere to program standards of personal integrity and accountability.
Global Virtual Classroom
Designed to accommodate local, national and international student participation with weekly classes taking place on the newest interactive communication platform, the telephonic teaching format creates a global classroom that is bridging geographic, cultural and social divides. During Module 2, class calls are held on Wednesdays at 11:30 AM Pacific or 5:00 PM Pacific. Starting in Module 3, weekly class calls are scheduled Wednesdays at 11:30 AM Pacific. All homework is easily submitted via web platform.
